Summer in the South: Peach Pound Cake

I am forever obsessed with summer in the South.

Summer in the south conjures up memories of watermelon, fireworks, bug bites, long days, and all the cicadas in between. From setting summer tablescapes with my mom, to driving to Dickeys with my dad for fresh Georgia peaches, to watching sunsets on Lake Martin….summer in the south is always magical.

I am so excited to share my peach pound cake with you all. I hope that with every bite of cake, you can feel just a little bit of summer in the South!

I am a bit of a peach snob—I can't help it! I love going to Georgia to get to peaches with my family. The trick to using your peaches for this recipe is to let them sit on the counter for 3 to 4 days after buying them. This allows the peaches to ripen to their peak sweetness!
